Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Armando Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Bamboni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salazar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Runnin' With The Devil. Bamboni has chosen Ice Ice Baby as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tony Bamboni! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Salazar tries for a takedown but Bamboni circles away easily and Bamboni counters by moving into the clinch. Bamboni decides to pull guard. Salazar's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bamboni wants to sweep here but Salazar controlling him for the moment. Salazar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We're going to have a standup here because Armando Salazar wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Salazar gets a double leg takedown into Bamboni's guard. Salazar content to stall in guard here. Bamboni looking to hit a scissor sweep but Salazar is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bamboni controls Salazar momentarily but Salazar frees himself. Salazar sitting in guard, not really doing much. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Armando Salazar has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Salazar throws a right and a left that both miss. Salazar tries for a takedown but Bamboni circles away easily and Bamboni counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Salazar is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Salazar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salazar slows the pace down. Bamboni is trying to control Salazar's posture but Salazar avoids it. Salazar controls the position. Bamboni prevents Salazar from moving into mount. Salazar is staying tight to Bamboni's torso, preventing him from escaping. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Armando Salazar wasn't doing enough on the ground. Salazar with a poor takedown and Bamboni counters with a nice double leg into half guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Armando Salazar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Salazar closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Salazar is pressing down on Bamboni's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bamboni is holding on for now. Salazar trying to control the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Armando Salazar. Salazar lands a jab-cross combination. Bamboni ducks under a wild hook from Salazar. Salazar with a poor takedown and Bamboni counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Salazar feints and as Bamboni raises his hands in defense, Salazar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Salazar misses with a takedown and Bamboni counters with a head kick. Salazar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bamboni counters with a good low kick that Salazar was not able to check. Bamboni closes the distance and clinches. Bamboni tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Salazar smiles and moves away.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bamboni avoiding Salazar 's attempts to control his hands. Bamboni tries to keep control of the position but Salazar is staying busy. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Salazar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bamboni slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Salazar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Salazar showed some decent athleticism there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bamboni can do anything to dispel that myth. Bamboni is trying to control but can't.
Salazar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Salazar tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bamboni knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Bamboni is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bamboni is looking to control Salazar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bamboni avoid being mounted? Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salazar in particular looking to stall.

Salazar with a lazy takedown attempt and Bamboni counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bamboni on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Salazar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bamboni as he jumps to the side. Bamboni tries to close the distance and clinch but Salazar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Salazar misses with a takedown and Bamboni counters with a nice double leg into side control. Salazar won't be happy with that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tony Bamboni showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Salazar leaves Bamboni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Salazar has his takedown stuffed and Bamboni decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Salazar's guard. Bamboni stands up from Salazar's guard - Bamboni perhaps looking for a knockout. Bamboni lands a high kick!
Bamboni closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Salazar did well to prevent Bamboni getting side control. Bamboni wants to lay and pray for a moment but Salazar keeps working. Salazar is trying to stand back up but Bamboni is controlling him

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tony Bamboni wasn't active enough on the ground. Bamboni gets caught flat footed, as Salazar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Salazar is stalling in the full guard. Bamboni not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tony Bamboni. Salazar misses with a takedown and Bamboni counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bamboni. Salazar is trying to hold Bamboni in close to prevent damage but Bamboni has managed to pass into half guard.
Bamboni wants to lay and pray for a moment but Salazar keeps working. Salazar wants to get back to his feet. Salazar trying to hold on to Bamboni's head to control him but Bamboni postures up.
Salazar is looking for a sweep. Bamboni is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salazar wants to control the action here but instead Bamboni manages to pass to full mount! Salazar is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Bamboni has taken his back.

And that's the end of the fight! Tony Bamboni comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bamboni has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
