Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Djiara Takakeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brunon Rzodkiewka!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rzodkiewka shoots in and gets a takedown into Takakeshi's guard.
Takakeshi looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Takakeshi is looking to stand up but Rzodkiewka isn't so interested in that idea.
Rzodkiewka not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Brunon Rzodkiewka.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rzodkiewka in particular looking to stall.

Rzodkiewka is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Takakeshi has managed to free his arm - good work.

Takakeshi seems a little lost for a moment, as Rzodkiewka dominates the positioning.

Takakeshi bucks up and tries to throw Rzodkiewka off but instead Rzodkiewka has got his back!

Rzodkiewka is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Takakeshi has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Rzodkiewka has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Takakeshi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's time! Takakeshi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Rzodkiewka has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Takakeshi uses from the top position.

Takakeshi wants to get up but he can't break Rzodkiewka's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rzodkiewka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Takakeshi manages to get himself to full guard.
Takakeshi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rzodkiewka is controlling him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Rzodkiewka tries to free his leg and advance position but Takakeshi is retaining full guard.
Rzodkiewka is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rzodkiewka controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rzodkiewka clinches up with Takakeshi and pushes him back against the cage.

Rzodkiewka is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Takakeshi can't fight it off and eventually Rzodkiewka manages to take the fight to the floor. Takakeshi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rzodkiewka gets to his feet - Takakeshi follows without any prompting.

Takakeshi misses with a body kick.
Brunon Rzodkiewka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rzodkiewka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takakeshi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rzodkiewka feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Takakeshi wants to stand and escape but Rzodkiewka is having none of it.

Takakeshi is looking to stand up but Rzodkiewka isn't so interested in that idea.

Brunon Rzodkiewka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Takakeshi tries a head kick but it misses.
Djiara Takakeshi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rzodkiewka throws a sloppy head kick and Takakeshi moves out of range easily.
Takakeshi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rzodkiewka doesn't manage to clinch there - Takakeshi circles away.
Rzodkiewka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rzodkiewka throws a right and a left that both miss.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Rzodkiewka gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Takakeshi is looking to stand up but Rzodkiewka isn't so interested in that idea.

Rzodkiewka stays in close to Takakeshi's body and controls the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Brunon Rzodkiewka.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Takakeshi enables Rzodkiewka to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Takakeshi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rzodkiewka shoots for a takedown but Takakeshi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Takakeshi stands and steps away. Rzodkiewka gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Rzodkiewka changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Takakeshi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Takakeshi is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Takakeshi is trying to escape the position but Rzodkiewka is controlling the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Brunon Rzodkiewka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Rzodkiewka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
