Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wrestling Boxer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zbyszek Cirak! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cirak fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boxer tries to bum rush Cirak with a series of wild strikes but Cirak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Boxer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cirak. Sloppy strikes from Boxer. Those never looked like landing. Boxer misses the jab. Cirak shoots in for a takedown but Boxer shows good takedown defense. Boxer tries to bum rush Cirak with a series of wild strikes but Cirak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Boxer stuffs the takedown. Wrestling Boxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zbyszek Cirak. Boxer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cirak is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cirak looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cirak sitting in guard, not really doing much. Cirak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Boxer can't keep his opponent in guard - Cirak advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Boxer wants to get back to full guard.

Cirak working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cirak slips a nice elbow through Boxer's hands, connecting with Boxer's forehead. Cirak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boxer is just riding it out for now. Cirak eventually gives up the hold. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cirak performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Boxer has hold of Cirak's hands but Cirak slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cirak not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Boxer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cirak on the ground. Boxer is in trouble now - Cirak has advanced to mount! BOOM! Cirak connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Cirak controlling the pace for now. Cirak avoids the attempt from Boxer to control. A nice elbow there by Cirak. Cirak controlling from the full mount. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cirak working away from the top, dropping strikes. Cirak raining down hammerfists from mount. That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirak scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cirak takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. It looks like Cirak might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Boxer taking shots to the head. Cirak looking to control but Boxer is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Cirak has hold of Boxer's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Boxer manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cirak trying to control but Boxer is having none of it. Cirak lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Cirak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Boxer is looking to improve his position but Cirak isn't that keen on the idea. Boxer is working hard here to advance position. Cirak lands a heavy elbow. Cirak lands a big elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Boxer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cirak raining down shots from the mount! Cirak scoring with strikes but Boxer is staying in there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zbyszek Cirak dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Cirak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boxer avoids it really well and circles away. Boxer tries to bum rush Cirak with a series of wild strikes but Cirak uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cirak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Boxer circles away. Cirak avoids the head kick by Boxer.
Wrestling Boxer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boxer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cirak shoots in but no luck this time. Wrestling Boxer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zbyszek Cirak. Boxer looks to land a body kick but Cirak moved away. Boxer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cirak is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boxer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Boxer throws a head kick that misses. Boxer swinging wildly here.
Cirak fails with a takedown attempt. Cirak takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cirak closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boxer to the mat! Boxer manages to get full guard. Boxer can't keep his opponent in guard - Cirak advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Boxer keeping hold of Cirak's head, controlling as best he can. Boxer is looking to improve his position.

Cirak frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Cirak content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cirak unloading with bombs! Cirak lands a big elbow. Cirak landing shots from mount. Cirak jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Boxer manages to avoid the submission attempt. Boxer stuck in half guard on the bottom here. Cirak working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Boxer is trying to control Cirak's posture but Cirak avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirak cracks Boxer with an elbow. That is naaassty. Boxer taking punishment in the form of punches.
Cirak connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Boxer some visible discomfort.
Boxer is trying to escape the position but Cirak is controlling the position. Cirak is looking to take a break and control but Boxer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cirak slows the pace down. Boxer gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Boxer tries to lock up and control but Cirak gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Boxer is desperately trying to improve his position but Cirak has a good base and remains in mount. Cirak is landing with some decent strikes but Boxer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Boxer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Boxer tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cirak cracks Boxer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Boxer tries to reverse the position but Cirak maintains control. Cirak with the ground and pound from mount. Cirak is landing with some decent strikes but Boxer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Cirak controlling from the full mount. Cirak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Boxer is looking to escape. Cirak sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zbyszek Cirak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Boxer enables Cirak to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Boxer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cirak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boxer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cirak trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cirak won't allow Boxer to sweep him here. Cirak stands up over Boxer, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Zbyszek Cirak has got the better of the ground game so far. Cirak lands a couple of elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cirak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cirak controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Boxer is looking to stand up but Cirak isn't so interested in that idea. Boxer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cirak defends it easily. Cirak wants to control from the top but Boxer keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cirak slips nicely into half guard. Cirak has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Boxer is trying desperately to improve position. Cirak controlling his opponent. Cirak landing strikes, looking to finish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boxer is desperately trying to improve his position but Cirak has a good base and remains in mount. Cirak content just to control the position here. Cirak lands with some strikes. Cirak lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cirak cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cirak with a couple of short strikes. Boxer tries to hold on but Cirak pushes him away. Cirak cracks Boxer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cirak looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Boxer is rocked! Boxer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Oh Boxer is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cirak looking to finish Boxer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Boxer! Boxer is trying desperately to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cirak controlling the position easily from mount. Boxer is in a horrible position here. Cirak smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Boxer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Boxer seems to have got his legs back now. Cirak content just to control the position here. Boxer takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Cirak with good strikes from the mount here! Cirak is landing with some decent strikes but Boxer is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Cirak has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cirak prevents Boxer from getting the reversal. Wrestling Boxer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Zbyszek Cirak is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cirak lands a big elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cirak controlling from the full mount.
