Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Remi Beauvais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Santos throws a series of punches but Beauvais moves out of range.

Beauvais changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Beauvais manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Santos lands with a nice combination. Beauvais backs away looking to recover.
Santos has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Beauvais is trying hard to land a takedown here. Santos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Santos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Beauvais back to the cage. Santos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Beauvais counters with a big head kick but Santos shrugs it off.

Santos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Beauvais moves away.

so Beauvais counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Santos wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Beauvais is now in half guard.

Beauvais is thwarting Santos's attempts to control the position.

Beauvais frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Beauvais avoids the attempt from Santos to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beauvais is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Beauvais extends the arm and Santos is forced to tap!
