Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geronimo Malkind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez comes into the arena with Apeman blaring out of the sound system. Malkind has chosen Extreme Ways as his entrance music. Alberto Lopez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Geronimo Malkind's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez throws out a loose jab but Malkind uses good head movement to avoid it.
Malkind shoots in for a takedown but Lopez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Malkind lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Malkind throws a sloppy body shot
and Lopez counters with a low kick, right behind Malkind 's knee.
Lopez looks to score with a jab to the body but Malkind is just out of range.
Lopez explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Malkind tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lopez counters with a series of strikes. Malkind will be more careful next time no doubt.

Lopez throws a head kick that misses
and Malkind counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lopez's guard now.

Malkind is trying to keep Lopez in close.

Lopez wants to control but Malkind is keeping him busy.
Malkind is looking for a sweep.
Lopez wants to stand but Malkind is controlling his arm.

Malkind is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Lopez is staying active.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Malkind bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Malkind swings away with a body shot that misses
and Lopez makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Lopez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Malkind to score with a decent uppercut.

Malkind tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lopez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Malkind fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lopez. That's going to slow Malkind down.
Malkind misses with a left hand
and Lopez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Malkind moves in looking to clinch but Lopez pushes him off.
Geronimo Malkind is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Lopez scores with a counter punch that sends Malkind to the canvas! Lopez smells blood - he's punishing Malkind with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Malkind has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
