Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Klaus Engbloom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Pascal Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Klaus Engbloom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jr throws a left and a right that both miss
and Engbloom counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Engbloom shoots in and gets a takedown into Jr's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Engbloom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jr is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Engbloom connects with a nice short shot to Jr's temple.

Engbloom tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Engbloom has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Klaus Engbloom overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Engbloom has an Americana. Jr didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Engbloom is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Engbloom hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
