Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mirko Kilovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kooistra De Ridder! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Ridder is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kilovic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kilovic takes one to the side of the head.
De Ridder shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. De Ridder showed some decent athleticism there. Kilovic is concentrating on defense, preventing De Ridder from advancing position. De Ridder is working for a submission of some sort.

De Ridder is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kilovic is just riding it out for now. De Ridder eventually gives up the hold. Possibly, maybe, no De Ridder has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Kilovic is trying to control De Ridder's posture but De Ridder avoids it. De Ridder decides to stand back up. De Ridder steps back and let's Kilovic get back to his feet. De Ridder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. De Ridder is keen to just control but Kilovic is a slippery customer. De Ridder not doing much here.

De Ridder is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kilovic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time De Ridder. De Ridder trying to pass the guard but Kilovic defending well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! De Ridder passes the guard and advances to mount! De Ridder has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kilovic's face.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kilovic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Kilovic wants to hold on but De Ridder pushes him away. De Ridder wants to finish this one by submission but Kilovic is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from De Ridder. De Ridder looking for a guillotine from mount but Kilovic is having none of it. De Ridder is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kilovic has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kilovic! De Ridder wants to sweep here but Kilovic controlling him for the moment.

Kooistra De Ridder has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Kilovic misses with a takedown and De Ridder counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Kilovic is breathing heavily. De Ridder controlling the pace. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. De Ridder works his way into side control. Kilovic is letting De Ridder control him for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. De Ridder passes to full mount! De Ridder stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Good work by De Ridder as he checks the leg kick. De Ridder lands a glancing blow to the side of Kilovic's head. De Ridder feints and as Kilovic raises his hands in defense, De Ridder changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kilovic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as De Ridder controls the pace. Kilovic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. De Ridder is looking to work some ground and pound but Kilovic has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Ridder slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. De Ridder content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kilovic is trying to control De Ridder's posture but De Ridder avoids it. De Ridder working the ground and pound from side control. De Ridder trying to control the position but Kilovic is working away. Kilovic tries to escape but De Ridder is in control. De Ridder wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kilovic, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kilovic gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! De Ridder trying to control but he's not successful this time. De Ridder content just to control the position here. De Ridder dominating with strikes here. De Ridder is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kilovic is surviving well by controlling De Ridder's body position as best he can. De Ridder working for a guillotine from mount but Kilovic is in no mood to give up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kooistra De Ridder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
De Ridder throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kilovic was covering up waiting for the punch and De Ridder finishes the takedown easily into guard. De Ridder seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. De Ridder wants to pass the guard but Kilovic is keeping the position. De Ridder controls from within his opponent's guard. De Ridder tries to free his leg and advance position but Kilovic is retaining full guard. Kilovic wants to stand up but De Ridder is controlling him. De Ridder sitting in guard, not really doing much. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kooistra De Ridder wasn't active enough on the ground. De Ridder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - De Ridder lands in his opponent's guard. De Ridder looking to pass the guard. De Ridder has been the more effective fighter overall so far. De Ridder passes into half guard. De Ridder takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. De Ridder not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. De Ridder thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kilovic blocking the ground and pound attempt from De Ridder. De Ridder stops Kilovic from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Ridder winds up and cracks Kilovic with a swinging punch to the side of the head. De Ridder looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kooistra De Ridder has got the better of the ground game so far. De Ridder content to control rather than advance. De Ridder is working for a submission of some sort.

Kilovic defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from De Ridder. De Ridder is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kilovic can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
De Ridder is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kilovic has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. De Ridder lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kilovic hang on? De Ridder has control of Kilovic's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kilovic regains control of the situation pretty easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Kooistra De Ridder comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well De Ridder has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
