Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Crouch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crouch comes to the cage accompanied by Headstrong-Trapt. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grant Crouch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Stout! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stout rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crouch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Grant Crouch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stout lands with a thumping leg kick.
Stout misses with a jab, cross combination.
Crouch tries to land a front kick but Stout steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. No joy there for Stout, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Crouch punishes Stout's body with a nice straight punch. Stout throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Crouch.
Grant Crouch's cut is getting worse. Stout swinging wildly here.
Stout throws a head kick that misses. Stout rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crouch moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crouch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stout manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Stout with a nice cross. Crouch misses with a few strikes there.

and Crouch counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crouch. Crouch jumps into guard, dragging Stout to the mat.
Stout looking to sit in guard and control but Crouch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stout looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crouch is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crouch has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Stout is proving hard to escape from. Crouch trying to control but Stout is working from the bottom. Stout looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Stout looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Crouch passes into half guard.
Stout is staying active underneath Crouch, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Crouch sitting and controlling from the half guard. Stout wants to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Grant Crouch. Stout throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Crouch counters with a nice uppercut. Sloppy strikes from Crouch. Those never looked like landing. Crouch throws a combination that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Stout misses with a double jab
and Crouch counters with a two punch combo. Stout moves into range and clinches up with Crouch. Crouch wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Stout is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Crouch is defending well for now. Stout slowing the pace effectively. Stout breaks the clinch.
Crouch shoots in but Stout avoids the takedown attempt easily. Stout has closed the distance and engaged Crouch in a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Stout obliges. Stout throws a knee to the head but misses.

Crouch has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stout is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Crouch is breathing heavily. Stout gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Crouch.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Stout taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Stout receives a warning from the referee for stalling. The crowd are getting on Stout's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Crouch pulls guard effortlessly. Crouch working a defensive guard here.
Stout gets to his feet - Crouch follows without any prompting. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Crouch darts in trying to clinch and Stout counters with a body kick.
