Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dawgius Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patcharin Rattana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dawgius Murray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Patcharin Rattana! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murray looks to land a combination but Rattana avoids it well. Murray instigates a clinch. Murray presses Rattana against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Murray is trying to push Rattana away but Rattana has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Murray blocks the elbow strike.
Murray breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Murray connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Patcharin Rattana has been cut. Murray thows a left - swing and a miss! Rattana tries to clinch but fails miserably and Murray counters by moving into the clinch. Rattana lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Dawgius Murray has been cut. Murray decides to pull guard. Rattana is looking to stand up but Murray won't let him. Murray pulls Rattana in to control the position. Murray wants to hit a switch here but Rattana passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Murray there! Rattana tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murray is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rattana is standing up, even though he is in mount. Rattana darts in trying to clinch and Murray moves into the clinch. Rattana throws an elbow but it misses.
Rattana with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Rattana looks gassed! The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Murray is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rattana can't fight it off and eventually Murray manages to take the fight to the floor. Rattana looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Murray connects with a couple of short punches. Murray gets to his feet - Rattana follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murray circles away from the clinch attempt and Murray holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rattana with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Rattana looking to throw knees to the head but Murray is blocking nicely.
Murray tries to circle away but Rattana has him pinned against the cage. Rattana misses with a knee strike.
Murray breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murray clinches up with Rattana and pushes him back against the cage. Murray gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Murray controlling the action here. Rattana is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rattana is trying to escape back to his feet but Murray uses the scramble to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murray lands a few punches from side control. Murray landing a few strikes. Rattana is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Murray slows the pace down. Rattana is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Murray is controlling him well. Murray controls the position. Rattana is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Murray wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rattana, who protects the arm well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murray scoring with punches from side control. Murray scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rattana to see if he's OK. Rattana tries to escape but Murray is in control. Murray controlling the position. Murray stands up and beckons Rattana to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Murray lands a left and a right that send Rattana crashing to the mat, dazed. Murray thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! BOOM! Murray lands a beautiful left hook that drops Rattana. Rattana tries to recover but Murray is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Rattana lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dawgius Murray!
