Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steven Zedowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doros Dimisco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Doros Dimisco! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dimisco defending well as Zedowski loads up on a big left hand. A big left from Zedowski misses. Zedowski misses with a lunging right hand
and Dimisco counters with a two punch combo. Zedowski moves into the clinch successfully.

Dimisco closes the distance but Zedowski moves to the side and Dimisco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Dimisco walks into a straight right hand from Zedowski. Zedowski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dimisco but Dimisco pushes him off and we're back to square one. Dimisco moves away from the strike by Zedowski. Dimisco tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Zedowski counters with a single leg into guard. Dimisco didn't expect that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dimisco is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Zedowski is controlling him. Zedowski with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zedowski distracts Dimisco with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Dimisco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zedowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dimisco keeping full guard, as Zedowski tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zedowski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Zedowski pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Zedowski shoots in and bounces Dimisco off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Zedowski wants to control from the top but Dimisco keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zedowski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Zedowski shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Zedowski closes the distance and clinches. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zedowski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Dimisco pulls his leg out and moves away.

Steven Zedowski dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Zedowski has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dimisco defend it? Zedowski steps over the head and cranks it - Dimisco is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Zedowski!
