He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McPheters.

McPheters pushes Takahashi up against the cage in a clinch.
McPheters is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Takahashi pulls him back up using the underhooks.

McPheters turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and McPheters manages to end up in side control.
Takahashi is looking to regain half guard here but McPheters keeps moving and retains side control.
McPheters throwing strikes but Takahashi manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
