Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henrik Larsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hydraulix 13.5 - D.A.V.E. the Drummer & Alex Calver kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Henrik Larsson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Aaron Gracie's chin.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gracie misses with a body punch
and Larsson counters with a nice right hand that sends Gracie toppling to the canvas! Gracie scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Larsson finish him?!
Gracie is rocked!
It looks like Aaron Gracie has been cut.
Larsson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Larsson moves away from the strike by Gracie.
Gracie throws a body punch but Larsson moves out of range.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Larsson as he jumps to the side.

Aaron Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gracie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie misses with a takedown
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Larsson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gracie.
Gracie swings for the body but Larsson moves out of range.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Larsson sprawls well.
Henrik Larsson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Gracie.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Larsson's waist but Larsson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.

Gracie scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Larsson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gracie won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Larsson tries to advance to mount but Gracie denies him.
Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Larsson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Larsson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Larsson has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Larsson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Larsson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Larsson's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Larsson is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Gracie is not going to allow Larsson to sit and survive in this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

That's time! Larsson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Larsson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracie's half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Larsson is taking a breather. Gracie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Larsson is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.

Larsson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Larsson defends well.

Larsson cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Larsson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

BOOM! Larsson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gracie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Larsson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gracie sprawling to the canvas! Gracie rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Larsson finish him?!
The fighters circle, before Larsson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gracie's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Larsson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
