Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jay Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Poulter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jay Jay has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jay Jay seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Jay! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Poulter! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poulter throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Jay to counter with a crisp jab. Poulter moves out of range of the body kick from Jay.
Jay throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Poulter throws a lazy head kick and Jay counters with a nice low kick that buckles Poulter's knee momentarily. Jay has a takedown stuffed. Paul Poulter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Poulter keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jay sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Poulter scores with a nice body kick.
Jay stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Poulter. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Poulter throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Jay makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Poulter thows a leg kick but Jay checks it and Jay counters with a left to the body. Jay tries for a takedown but Poulter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jay gets off balance looking for a body kick and Poulter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Poulter throws a head kick that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Poulter throws a sloppy head kick and Jay makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. A lazy body kick from Poulter and Jay holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Poulter wants to break free but Jay has control.
Jay's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Poulter throws a head kick that misses and Jay counters with a nice leg kick. Poulter throws a body kick the misses and Jay counters with a left to the body. Poulter is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jay fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Poulter throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Jay counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jay. Poulter is trying to break the clinch but Jay is controlling him. Poulter is trying to break the clinch but Jay is controlling him. Poulter wants to get back to striking at distance but Jay won't allow it.
Jay connects with a nasty looking knee right to Poulter's face.
Poulter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jay lands a nice knee to the body. Poulter takes a knee to the side of the body. Jay manages to pull guard.
Jay looking to hit a scissor sweep but Poulter is one step ahead there. Jay is looking for a triangle but Poulter pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jay has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Poulter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Poulter trying to control the position from guard on top but Jay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jay is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jay is looking for a triangle but Poulter pushes his legs off easily.
Jay has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Poulter doesn't defend quickly enough and Jay has managed to lock this one up! Can Poulter escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jay on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jay Jay! Jay Jay retains his middleweight title!
