Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cyrus Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sawyers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Edgar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Edgar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sawyer cracks Edgar with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Edgar throws a head kick that misses
and Sawyer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Edgar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sawyer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sawyer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Edgar is just riding it out for now. Sawyer eventually gives up the hold.

Sawyer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Edgar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Edgar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Edgar can do anything to dispel that myth.
