The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Li shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Liddel is trying to defend but Li finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Li wants to free his trapped foot but Liddel is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Liddel trying to control but Li postures up.
Li wants to pass the guard but Liddel is defending well.
Li is working hard here to advance position.
Liddel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Li. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Li is looking for a kimura but Liddel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Li to get the leverage.
