Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lance Jacob! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Killerbee Navarro! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacob moves in looking to clinch but Navarro pushes him off. Navarro clinches up with Jacob and pushes him back against the cage. Jacob gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Navarro manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jacob manages to get himself to full guard.
Navarro is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jacob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Navarro tries to free his leg and advance position but Jacob is retaining full guard. Navarro trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacob is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jacob is trying to hold Navarro in close to prevent damage but Navarro has managed to pass into half guard.
Navarro is working for a kimura but Jacob is defending it quite comfortably.
Jacob on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jacob tries to get out of the position. Jacob actively working from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Navarro looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jacob has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jacob could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jacob wants to control but Navarro is keeping busy.

No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Navarro is working Jacob over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Navarro accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jacob trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Navarro keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jacob's head. Jacob wants to sweep here but Navarro controlling him for the moment. Jacob is breathing heavily. Navarro postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Navarro drops back looking for a leg! Jacob is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jacob manages to kick Navarro off! Navarro jumps back into Jacob's guard. Navarro is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Navarro lands a couple of digs. Jacob manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Jacob goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Navarro is on top in guard.

Jacob is really struggling to control Navarro but he's trying to hold on to the position. Navarro loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Navarro cracks Jacob with a solid left hand. Navarro postures up and lands a big shot to Jacob's brow. Navarro postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Navarro passes Jacob's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Navarro connects with a nice short shot to Jacob's temple. Navarro lands strikes from half guard. Navarro is looking to advance position but Jacob won't allow it. Navarro is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Navarro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jacob does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Navarro is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Killerbee Navarro dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Navarro moves into the clinch. Navarro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jacob closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jacob lands in his opponent's guard. Navarro wants to get back to his feet but Jacob is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jacob looking to pass the guard. Navarro pulls Jacob in close to his closed guard and prevents Jacob from doing any damage or advancing position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacob is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Navarro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Navarro has escaped and now he's on top! Navarro makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Navarro showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Navarro is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jacob escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Navarro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Navarro scoring with punches to the head and body.

Navarro sprawls well initially but Jacob persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jacob is working for a kimura but Navarro is defending it quite comfortably.

Navarro kicks off Jacob and gets to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Navarro throws a combination that misses and Jacob counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Navarro! Jacob controlling from mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jacob moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Navarro has worked his arm free - good work by Navarro!

Killerbee Navarro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Navarro is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Navarro lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Navarro controlling the action here. Jacob tries to roll over but Navarro keeps him under control. Navarro content to control rather than advance. Lance Jacob has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jacob is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Navarro pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Killerbee Navarro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Navarro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
