Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Rummer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown comes into the arena with Avassalador ft. Globus - Sou Foda blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ryan Rummer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Rummer! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown throws a poor cross that misses
and Rummer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rummer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rummer. Brown does a little dance to reset his feet. Rummer wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance. Rummer attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Rummer tries for a takedown but Brown circles away easily letting Brown counter with a right hand.
It looks like Ryan Rummer has been cut. Brown shoots in but Rummer avoids the takedown attempt easily. A left and a right from Rummer both land. Nice combination. Brown moves out of range as Rummer strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rummer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brown. Brown blocks a jab. Brown throws a sloppy body shot
and Rummer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Brown uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rummer. Ryan Rummer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown gets caught flat footed, as Rummer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Brown looking to control.
Brown is looking to stand up but Rummer isn't so interested in that idea. Brown is trying to control the position but Rummer postures up. Rummer is pushing down on Brown's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brown is fighting to maintain full guard but Rummer has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Rummer working over Brown with some ground and pound. Brown looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Rummer looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rummer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Brown is trying to get back to full guard. Rummer trying to advance position but Brown counters by regaining guard. Brown throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Rummer trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Rummer has passed into half guard!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rummer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rummer trying to control the action but Brown is working from the bottom. Rummer lands strikes from half guard. Brown is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rummer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rummer's back! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Brown avoiding Rummer 's attempts to control his hands. Rummer tries to escape but Brown has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown misses with an elbow to the head. Rummer tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Brown is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rummer is surviving well by controlling Brown's body position as best he can. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rummer is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to control from the top but Rummer keeps moving. Rummer wants to improve his position but instead Brown has moved into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rummer is staying active underneath Brown, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rummer is trying to control but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Brown rolls, trying to escape but Rummer keeps control of the position.

Rummer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Brown turns into Rummer and is now in his guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Rummer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ryan Rummer wasn't active enough on the ground. Rummer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rummer moves into range and connects with a jab. Brown thows a left - swing and a miss! Brown misses with an uppercut. Rummer saw that one coming. Brown takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rummer misses with a hook. Brown ducked under it nicely. Rummer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Brown was well out of range. Poor timing from Rummer. Rummer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Rummer is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rummer shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well. A right-left combo lands from Rummer. Brown on the wrong end of a nice jab. Rummer with a lazy takedown attempt and Brown counters with a right hand to the body. Rummer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown drives through and clinches with Rummer against the ropes.

Rummer tries to pull guard but Brown holds him up against the ropes and eventually Rummer drops back down to his feet.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Brown creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Brown lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rummer or not. Brown lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rummer backwards. Rummer can't get the takedown.
Rummer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brown smiles and moves away.
Brown throws a hook but Rummer avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rummer tries to clinch up and Brown counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Brown missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rummer wants to get back to full guard. Rummer is concentrating on defense, preventing Brown from advancing position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown tries to pass to full mount but Rummer defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! John Brown showed his dominance in that final round. I think Brown has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
