Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Winkletoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichiro Miyata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Winkletoe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ichiro Miyata! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winkletoe shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Winkletoe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Miyata swivels and escapes. Miyata displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Winkletoe. Winkletoe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miyata sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Winkletoe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Winkletoe looks for a takedown but Miyata sprawls well. Winkletoe feints and as Miyata raises his hands in defense, Winkletoe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Winkletoe trying to control but Miyata is working from the bottom. Miyata is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Winkletoe is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winkletoe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Miyata working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Winkletoe. Winkletoe chips away with some ground and pound. Winkletoe throws a big right hand that misses. Winkletoe looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Miyata keeping full guard, as Winkletoe tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Winkletoe wants to control from the top but Miyata keeps moving. Winkletoe is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Winkletoe stands and throws Miyata's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Winkletoe lands a few punches from side control. Winkletoe lands some shots froms side control. Winkletoe misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Winkletoe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Winkletoe in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Winkletoe looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winkletoe taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Winkletoe tries for a kimura but Miyata is defending well. Winkletoe with the ground and pound but Miyata regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Winkletoe not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Winkletoe closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miyata did well to prevent Winkletoe getting side control. Miyata keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Winkletoe is looking for a kimura but Miyata is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Winkletoe to get the leverage. Miyata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winkletoe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Winkletoe throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Winkletoe is pressing down on Miyata's thigh, looking to free his foot. Miyata is holding on for now. Winkletoe seems to be working for a kimura but Miyata defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Winkletoe in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyata won't allow Winkletoe to pass to mount. Miyata is trying to escape back to his feet but Winkletoe uses the scramble to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Winkletoe controlling from side mount. Winkletoe in side control, throwing shots but Miyata defends. Winkletoe remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Winkletoe has hold of Miyata's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Miyata seems comfortable defending it but Winkletoe has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Miyata is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Miyata is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Winkletoe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
