Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Mott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Charles Skarbowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Mott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Charles Skarbowsky! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mott with a lazy takedown attempt and Skarbowsky counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mott gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Skarbowsky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. John Mott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Skarbowsky throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mott counters with a shoot takedown. Skarbowsky fights it but they end up in guard. Skarbowsky keeping moving, preventing Mott from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mott prevents Skarbowsky from getting back to his feet. Mott trying to control the position from guard on top but Skarbowsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mott missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Mott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mott sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Skarbowsky's guard. Mott sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Skarbowsky defending well though. Skarbowsky keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Skarbowsky is not content to let Mott control the position. Mott thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Skarbowsky's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mott is taking a breather. Skarbowsky says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mott passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Skarbowsky! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mott tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mott looking for a guillotine from mount but Skarbowsky is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mott has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Skarbowsky's face.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mott can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Skarbowsky is looking to escape. Poor strikes thrown by Mott there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mott lands a heavy elbow. Mott looking to secure an arm triangle but Skarbowsky defends it well. Skarbowsky avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mott.
Mott breaks from Skarbowsky's wrist control and lands an elbow. Mott sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Skarbowsky tries to buck Mott off but he can't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Mott dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Skarbowsky scores with a body shot.
Mott looks for a takedown but Skarbowsky sprawls well. Mott fails with the takedown and Skarbowsky counters with a nice body kick. Mott keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Skarbowsky avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Mott. That's going to take a lot out of him. Skarbowsky lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mott backs up against the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Skarbowsky keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mott misses with a takedown attempt - Skarbowsky sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Horrible takedown by Mott or perhaps it was just good defense by Skarbowsky which made him look bad. A solid body kick from Skarbowsky.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skarbowsky leaves Mott with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Skarbowsky fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Skarbowsky tries to avoid it but Mott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Skarbowsky to the ground. Skarbowsky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Mott moves out of range as Skarbowsky throws a body kick.
John Mott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mott fails with a takedown attempt. Mott shoots in for a double leg but Skarbowsky sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mott shoots in for a takedown but Skarbowsky shows good takedown defense. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jean Charles Skarbowsky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Skarbowsky lands with a thumping leg kick.
Skarbowsky connects with a leg kick. Mott looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Mott misses with a takedown and Skarbowsky counters with a big head kick but Mott shrugs it off. Skarbowsky misses the body punch and Mott counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skarbowsky is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Check out the look on Mott's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Skarbowsky is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mott asserts his dominance and retains side control. Skarbowsky prevents Mott from improving position. Mott trying to control the position but Skarbowsky is working away. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Skarbowsky can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mott passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Skarbowsky! Mott trying to control but he's not successful this time. Skarbowsky holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mott tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mott landing strikes, looking to finish! Mott throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Mott raining down shots from the mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mott looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Mott looking to finish with strikes here!

A nice elbow there by Mott. Mott thowing shots but they're missing. The referee warns Skarbowsky that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mott throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! John Mott showed his dominance in that final round. I think Mott has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
