Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tamanui Te Patu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Reagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Te Patu circles away from the clinch attempt and Te Patu counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reagan's guard now. Reagan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Te Patu is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Te Patu trying to move into half guard but instead Reagan has managed to sweep! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Te Patu is on top in guard.
Te Patu with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Te Patu slips nicely into half guard. Te Patu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Te Patu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Reagan's head. Reagan has hold of Te Patu's hands but Te Patu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Te Patu connects with a nice short shot to Reagan's temple. That's one minute gone in the round. Te Patu working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Te Patu is taking a breather. Reagan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Te Patu is trying to control the action in half guard but Reagan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Te Patu landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Te Patu winds up and cracks Reagan with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Te Patu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Te Patu landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Te Patu lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Reagan! More strikes land and this one is all over! Te Patu jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
