Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman comes to the cage accompanied by "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Metallica. Uzi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Metallica: the bell tolls for Eric Newman!!! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Eric Newman has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eric Newman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terry Uzi! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Uzi on the side of the head. Eric Newman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Uzi keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

and Uzi counters with a lovely straight right hand! Newman tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Newman throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Uzi to counter with a crisp jab. Uzi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Newman to the mat! Newman manages to get full guard. Newman keeping full guard, as Uzi tries to pass. Uzi passes Newman's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Uzi is pressing down on Newman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Newman is holding on for now. Uzi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uzi is working for an americana but Newman has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Uzi was thinking about the submission. Uzi looking to pass the guard. Newman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Uzi on the ground. Uzi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Uzi passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Uzi seems to be looking for submissions.
Uzi is looking for a kimura but Newman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Uzi to get the leverage. Uzi tries to pass to full mount but Newman defends it. Uzi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Newman defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Uzi uses his free foot to push down on Newman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Newman. Uzi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Newman has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Newman! Newman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Newman is sitting in close to Uzi's body. Uzi has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Newman is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Newman is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Uzi.
