The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boa throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Boa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Boa wants to clinch
and Sanchez counters with a straight right hand.
Boa tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Sanchez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Boa throws a sloppy head kick and Sanchez moves out of range easily.
A nice combination there by Sanchez.
Sanchez circles away from the clinch attempt
and Sanchez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Boa's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanchez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Boa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sanchez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Boa dives on top into guard.
Sanchez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Sanchez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Boa frees his head nicely. Oh but Sanchez has switched to an armbar! Boa is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
