Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Coature (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the cage accompanied by Walkie Talkie - DJ Shadow. The crowd seem to be enjoying Coature's choice of entrance music: 8th and Blues. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Randy Coature! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coature blocks a head kick by Carter.
Carter misses with a head kick.
Coature avoids a low kick by using good footwork. A combination from Carter does no damage. A head kick misses from Carter. Carter lands with a cross. Carter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Coature counters with a nice uppercut. Carter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Coature checks it well. Carter throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Andrew Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coature drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coature trying to control but Carter is working from the bottom. Carter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Coature preventing the sweep. Coature stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carter wants to sweep but no luck. Coature throwing strikes but missing. Coature pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Coature trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Coature looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Coature wants to stand but Carter has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Coature must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Carter keeping full guard, as Coature tries to pass. Carter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coature manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coature wants to stand up but Carter is controlling him.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Randy Coature wasn't active enough on the ground. Carter misses with a hook. Coature ducked under it nicely. Carter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Carter is looking to land body kicks. Carter fails to land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Carter. Carter thows a left - swing and a miss! Coature shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Coature moves out of range easily. Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Coature moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Some wild striking there from Carter.
Carter pushes Coature away with a front kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Carter dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Carter checks a leg kick. A head kick misses from Carter. Carter throws a wild body kick that Coature sees coming a mile off. Carter thows a body shot but no joy. Carter misses with a body kick. Coature feints and as Carter raises his hands in defense, Coature changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter wants to sweep but no luck. Carter looking for subs off his back but Coature has passed one foot through into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Coature is pressing down on Carter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Carter is holding on for now. Carter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Coature postures up.
Coature wanted to stand there but Carter had control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Coature throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Coature decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carter, up you get! Carter throws a head kick that misses. Coature fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carter sprawls well initially but Coature persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Coature is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Carter manages to get to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coature won't allow Carter to sweep him here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Coature stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carter has momentary wrist control but Coature slips an elbow through the middle. Coature chips away with some ground and pound. Carter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coature is one step ahead there. Carter controls Coature momentarily but Coature frees himself. Coature looking to sit in guard and control but Carter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Carter wants to control from the top but Coature keeps moving. Carter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Coature works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Coature showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Coature throws a head kick but Carter moves out of range.
Carter misses with a leg kick. Coature moves out of range of the body kick from Carter.
A head kick misses from Carter. Carter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coature circles away quickly and effectively. Coature on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carter scores with a sloppy right hand. Coature should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coature closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Coature throws a strike but Carter avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Coature wants to stand and escape but instead Carter has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Carter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Coature is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Coature has escaped and now he's on top! Coature wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Coature trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carter's guard. Coature throws a big right hand that misses. Coature wants to stand but Carter is controlling his posture from full guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Coature's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter looking for a sweep. Not yet Carter, not yet. Carter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Coature manages to get himself to full guard.
Carter looking to pass the guard. Coature wants to improve his position but instead Carter has moved into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Coature is trying to maintain the position but Carter is very close to passing his half guard. Carter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Coature's head. Carter slips a nice elbow through Coature's hands, connecting with Coature's forehead. Coature is looking for a sweep. Carter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Carter showed his dominance in that final round. I think Carter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
