Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Winston Dunham III!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jokke Nappula!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nappula throws a leg kick that is checked
and Dunham III counters with a head kick.
Dunham III misses with a leg kick
and Nappula counters with a nice leg kick.
Dunham III misses the shot to the body.

Dunham III looks to land a left hand but Nappula moved out of range nicely.

Nappula throws out a leg kick but Dunham III moves out of range and Nappula only half commits.

Nappula misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dunham III tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nappula manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dunham III uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nappula.

and Dunham III counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nappula tries to close the distance and clinch but Dunham III swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Dunham III counters with a three punch combo that has Nappula backing up. Nappula nods at Dunham III to acknowledge the strikes.
Dunham III feints and then cracks Nappula's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nappula down.
Nappula misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nappula uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Dunham III.

Dunham III throws an overhand right that lands on Nappula's shoulder, as Nappula tries to avoid the shot.
Nappula throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dunham III.
Nappula is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Dunham III will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Dunham III counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nappula lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dunham III with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nappula to score with a decent uppercut.
Nappula tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dunham III is able to avoid easily.

Dunham III ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nappula moves away.

and Nappula counters with a body kick that stops Dunham III in his tracks momentarily.
Nappula slips a jab from Dunham III.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dunham III, as that shot connected.
Dunham III rushes Nappula and presses him up against the cage.
Nappula ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nappula no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nappula escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dunham III gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nappula working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dunham III doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dunham III manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Oh but Nappula is tightening it up a little... Dunham III has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dunham III reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dunham III taps out! nice BJJ there by Nappula!
