The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brzeczyszczykiewicz with a poor takedown
and Winner counters with a nice uppercut.
Brzeczyszczykiewicz misses with a takedown attempt
and Winner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Brzeczyszczykiewicz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Winner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mateusz Brzeczyszczykiewicz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brzeczyszczykiewicz wants to clinch but Winner slips to the side
enabling Winner to counter with a crisp jab.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Let's hope that Winner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Winner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brzeczyszczykiewicz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Winner wants to pass to mount but Brzeczyszczykiewicz is defending the position.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Brzeczyszczykiewicz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Winner is on top in guard.

Winner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Winner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brzeczyszczykiewicz did well to prevent Winner getting side control.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andre Winner was stalling too much, according to the referee.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Winner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mateusz Brzeczyszczykiewicz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
