Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franklyn Vass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hoss Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franklyn Vass! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hoss Rollins! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rollins closes the distance but Vass moves to the side and Vass counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Vass clinches up against the cage. Vass's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Vass has closed the distance and engaged Rollins in a clinch.
Vass is working for takedown but Rollins is calmly controlling the position for now. Rollins lands with a left to the head. Rollins lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Vass backwards. Vass pulls Rollins into guard.
Vass has a closed guard, preventing Rollins from standing up. Vass wants to get back to his feet but Rollins is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Vass working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rollins. Vass could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rollins won't allow Vass to sweep him here. Vass knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rollins on the ground. Rollins wanted to stand there but Vass had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vass working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rollins. Vass trying to keep a closed guard but Rollins is proving a slippery customer.
Rollins would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rollins stands up and waves to Vass to follow him. Rollins looks gassed! Rollins moves to clinch but Vass breaks away and Vass counters by moving into the clinch. Vass is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rollins pulls him back up using the underhooks. Vass has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rollins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franklyn Vass. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rollins can't break the clinch.
Rollins lands an uppercut. Vass manages to break the clinch.
Rollins moves to clinch but Vass breaks away and Vass counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rollins!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vass looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Vass looking to control and managing it successfully. Vass trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rollins has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vass looking for the choke from the back. Vass wants to control but Rollins manages to buck him off and is now in Vass's guard! Nice work there by Rollins! Rollins with a flurry of punches that miss. Vass has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rollins off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Vass misses with a body kick. Hoss Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rollins tries to clinch and Vass counters by moving into the clinch. Vass prevents Rollins from breaking the clinch. Vass pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rollins avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vass gets a takedown into half guard. Vass escapes and gets back to his feet. Rollins looks to clinch and Vass holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Vass successfully pulls guard.
Rollins throwing strikes from guard but Vass blocks nicely. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rollins wants to stand but Vass has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Rollins throws and elbow that misses. Vass uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rollins's guard. Nice move by Vass! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franklyn Vass dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vass gets the takedown into side control. Vass decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rollins to his feet. Vass closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vass laying and praying for a moment but Rollins takes advantage and regains half guard. Nice strikes from Vass there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vass passes to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Vass lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Vass is in the full mount, landing strikes. Vass is landing with some decent strikes but Rollins is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Vass lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Vass wants to control the pace but Rollins is squirming around nicely. Vass wants to finish this one by submission but Rollins is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vass wants to control the pace but Rollins is squirming around nicely. Vass is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rollins is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Vass breaks from Rollins's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. BOOM! Vass connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Vass moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Rollins has worked his arm free - good work by Rollins!
Vass working the ground and pound. Rollins is trying to buck Vass off. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rollins is working to avoid the ground and pound but Vass connects with a decent elbow. Vass taking a breather here. Vass scores with punches from side control. Rollins is trying to escape the position but Vass is controlling the position. Rollins tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Franklyn Vass dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Vass misses with a jab, cross combination.
Rollins closes the distance looking to clinch and Vass counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rollins won't be happy with that. Vass content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Vass is putting a hurting on Rollins here, landing some big shots from side control. Franklyn Vass overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Vass happy to just control the position for now. Rollins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vass taking a break here but Rollins is having none of it and regains half guard. Vass decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Rollins tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Vass counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rollins tries for a takedown but Vass manages to get underhooks.
Rollins tries to throw a body punch but Vass avoids it by throwing Rollins back against the cage. Vass has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rollins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Vass has Rollins pressed against the cage.
Rollins is trying to break the clinch but Vass has him pressed against the cage. Vass gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rollins regains guard.
Vass trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom. Rollins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vass can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Vass postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vass is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rollins manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Vass has taken the fight to the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Rollins's face as he tries to break the clinch. Vass jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rollins walks away with a smile on his face. Vass gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Franklyn Vass is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rollins tries to clinch up and Vass counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Rollins looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vass throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rollins managing to block the knees to the body from Vass.
Vass jumps into guard, dragging Rollins to the mat.
Vass pushes Rollins off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Vass drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rollins is trying to get back to his feet. Hoss Rollins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vass is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Rollins will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Vass trying to control the action but Rollins is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Franklyn Vass showed his dominance in that final round. Well Vass has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
