Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Perez, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Perez against the cage but Perez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Perez gets the takedown into side control. Perez decides to take the fight back to the feet. Perez with a lazy takedown attempt and Alexander counters by clinching up. Alexander has Perez pressed against the cage, preventing Perez from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Perez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alexander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Perez drags the fight down to the ground.
Alexander stopping the sweep attempt from Perez. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez is controlling Alexander's posture. Perez is trying to keep Alexander in close.
Perez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perez keeping moving, preventing Alexander from controlling successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Perez wants to clinch but Alexander slips to the side and Alexander counters with a takedown into side control. Alexander is looking to take a break and control but Perez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Perez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Alexander's best efforts. Alexander wants to stand up but Perez manages to regain full guard. Perez trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Alexander in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez controlling the position. Alexander trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alexander has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Perez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Alexander! Alexander tries to improve his position but instead Perez has taken his back! Perez throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Perez keeps control of the position easily here as Alexander tries to buck him off.

Alexander defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Perez's arms. Alexander is trying to break free.
Alexander covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Perez misses with an elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perez is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Alexander won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Perez off his unconscious opponent!
