The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander closes the distance and clinches up with Perez, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes Perez against the cage but Perez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Perez gets the takedown into side control.
Perez decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Alexander has Perez pressed against the cage, preventing Perez from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Perez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Alexander avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
