The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sap misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Riley looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Riley plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Riley is looking to slow Sap down with leg kicks.

Sap closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Riley did well to prevent Sap getting side control.

Sap seems to be looking for submissions.
Sap looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Sap moves nicely into side control.
The ground and pound from Sap seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Sap is looking to take a break and control but Riley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sap has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sap working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sap tries to move into full mount but can't pass Riley's legs.
Sap trying to control the position but Riley is working away.

Sap is working to tighten is grip on Riley's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Riley has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sap is really squeezing tight and eventually Riley passes out! Sap breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
