Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barnes comes to the cage accompanied by Headstrong Trapt. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Justice wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Barnes leaves Justice with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Justice tries for a takedown. No joy.

Justice is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Barnes is defending well for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Justice slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Justice is trying to get an arm triangle but Barnes is defending well.
Justice advances to full mount.
Barnes is controlling an arm, preventing Justice from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Justice goes for an armbar but Barnes turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Barnes.

Justice controls Barnes momentarily but Barnes frees himself.

Barnes wants to stand and escape but instead Justice has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Justice looking to sit in guard and control but Barnes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Justice looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barnes is one step ahead there.
Barnes connects with a couple of short punches.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Justice is on top in guard.
Justice is looking to advance position but Barnes has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Justice is wriggling around trying to escape.
Barnes with shots to the head and body - Justice looks very uncomfortable down there.
BOOM! Barnes connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Justice is squirming around, avoiding Barnes's attempts to control the action.

Barnes goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Justice turns into him and now he's in Barnes's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rodney Barnes will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Sean Justice's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Justice swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barnes counters by clinching up.
Barnes tries to pull guard but Justice won't allow it.
Barnes using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Justice has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Justice jumps guard but Barnes stands there with Justice around his waist. Justice gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Barnes breaks the clinch.
Justice doesn't manage to clinch there - Barnes circles away.
Justice misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Barnes counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A right hook to the body lands for Barnes.
Justice has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barnes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Justice fails to pull the fight into his guard.

and Barnes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Justice's guard.
Barnes is looking to stand up but Justice won't let him.
Barnes avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Barnes landing some decent shots from guard.

Barnes wants to get up but he can't break Justice's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Justice tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Justice is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Barnes is defending against the submission attempts here by Justice.

Justice tries to pass the half guard into mount. Barnes knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Justice frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Justice working for a submission but Barnes is keeping him at bay.
Barnes is desperately trying to improve his position but Justice has a good base and remains in mount.

Barnes is trying to escape the mount but Justice keeps good control and instead manages to take Barnes's back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Justice has his arm under Barnes's chin here. Game over son! Justice squeezes tightly and Barnes is forced to tap out!
