Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Harsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Gaulterie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bob Harsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paul Gaulterie! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaulterie shoots in for a takedown but Harsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Harsky moves out of range as Gaulterie strikes. Gaulterie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harsky.
Harsky misses with a jab, cross combination.
Harsky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gaulterie paws at him with a jab and circles away. Harsky gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gaulterie to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gaulterie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Harsky is keeping the position for now. Gaulterie wants to control from the top but Harsky keeps moving. Harsky working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gaulterie. Harsky wants to sweep here but Gaulterie controlling him for the moment. Gaulterie trying to control but Harsky is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Gaulterie. Some wild striking there from Harsky.
Harsky is breathing heavily. Harsky tries to clinch up and Gaulterie counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Harsky down! Gaulterie is looking to finish but Harsky is intelligently defending himself.
Harsky is rocked! Gaulterie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gaulterie loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gaulterie wants to pass the guard but Harsky is keeping the position. This has been an exciting period of action! Gaulterie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaulterie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harsky swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gaulterie throwing strikes from guard but Harsky blocks nicely. Gaulterie throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gaulterie passes easily into side control. Nice work. The strikes coming from Gaulterie are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Harsky wants to control but Gaulterie postures up. Harsky throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Gaulterie tries for a kimura but Harsky is defending well. Gaulterie wants to control but Harsky is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Harsky is not content to let Gaulterie control the position. Gaulterie takes a little break here. Harsky wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Paul Gaulterie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gaulterie shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Harsky defends it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gaulterie shoots in and drives through. Harsky sprawls well. Bob Harsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Gaulterie. Gaulterie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Harsky did well to prevent Gaulterie getting side control. Gaulterie trying to mount his opponent but Harsky defends it. Gaulterie trying to control the action but Harsky is working from the bottom. Gaulterie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Gaulterie dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gaulterie shoots for a takedown but Harsky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bob Harsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gaulterie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harsky to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gaulterie is pulling down on Harsky's head to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gaulterie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Gaulterie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gaulterie, not yet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Paul Gaulterie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gaulterie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harsky avoids it really well and circles away. Harsky is looking to regain half guard here but Gaulterie keeps moving and retains side control. Gaulterie controls the position. Gaulterie working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaulterie decides to stand up, so the ref orders Harsky to his feet. Gaulterie swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gaulterie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gaulterie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Harsky! Harsky is trying desperately to improve position. Harsky wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Gaulterie.
Gaulterie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harsky is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Gaulterie working the ground and pound effectively.
Harsky is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Gaulterie misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Gaulterie misses with a head shot. Gaulterie looking to control and managing it successfully. Gaulterie looking to ground and pound but Harsky is blocking nicely. Gaulterie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Harsky looks a forlorn figure.
Gaulterie controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harsky holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gaulterie tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Gaulterie is working for a guillotine from mount but Harsky frees his head quite easily.
Gaulterie moves to the back. Gaulterie slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Gaulterie lands punches and elbows. Harsky controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Gaulterie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Horrible takedown by Gaulterie or perhaps it was just good defense by Harsky which made him look bad. Gaulterie takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Harsky feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gaulterie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Harsky tries to stand but Gaulterie is controlling from the bottom. Harsky thows a big elbow that misses. Harsky looking to sit in guard and control but Gaulterie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gaulterie throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaulterie drops back looking for a leg! Harsky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harsky manages to kick Gaulterie off! Gaulterie jumps back into Harsky's guard. Gaulterie trying to control but Harsky is working from the bottom. Gaulterie passes into half guard. Harsky is refusing to be controlled, as Gaulterie sits in half guard. Gaulterie moves nicely into side control. Gaulterie throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Harsky avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Gaulterie. Gaulterie decides to take the fight back to the feet. Harsky leaves Gaulterie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gaulterie scores a takedown into full mount! Harsky is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Gaulterie has control of Harsky's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Harsky regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaulterie goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Harsky is on top in guard.
Gaulterie keeping moving, preventing Harsky from controlling successfully. Gaulterie trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Harsky with a flurry of punches that miss. Gaulterie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gaulterie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Harsky is looking to stand up but Gaulterie won't let him. Gaulterie is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Gaulterie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harsky defends it easily. Gaulterie trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Bob Harsky has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Paul Gaulterie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Harsky postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Gaulterie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gaulterie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
