Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bowman Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rook's entrance music is Daughtry-What I Want. A fine choice. Bowman Rook is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Miller! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rook connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Miller misses with a head kick.
Rook throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller throws a head kick that misses enabling Rook to counter with a crisp jab. Miller walks into a straight right hand from Rook. Rook swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rook lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Miller tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rook connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller tries to clinch up and Rook counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rook. Rook takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Bowman Rook has been cut. Miller tries to land knees in the clinch but Rook avoids the damage to the body. Miller prevents the takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rook postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Rook looking to sit in guard and control but Miller gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Miller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rook uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Rook fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Miller looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rook lands a head shot. Miller tries to clinch but Rook moves away and Rook holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Miller gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rook.
Miller is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rook is defending well for now.

Miller is fighting it off but Rook persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Miller's guard against the cage. Rook has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Miller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rook throwing strikes from guard but Miller blocks nicely. Rook loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rook trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller lands an elbow inside that Rook shrugs off. Rook looking for a takedown. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Miller just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rook's brow. Rook could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Miller using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Miller pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rook trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rook preventing the sweep. Rook throwing strikes from guard but Miller blocks nicely. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Miller seems keen to control Rook's posture. Rook throwing strikes but missing. Rook slips nicely into half guard. Miller blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Miller has one foot on Rook's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Miller tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Rook counter with a right hand. Miller on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Rook lands a nice hook to Miller's body. Miller takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Rook lands an overhand left. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rook, as that shot connected.

Rook connects with a crisp jab. Rook shoots in looking for a takedown. Miller tries to sprawl out of it but Rook keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miller manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Rook throws a one two combo.
Miller moves to clinch but Rook breaks away and Rook counters with a stiff right hand. Miller tries to clinch but Rook moves away and Rook counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rook lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively. Miller tries to clinch but Rook moves away and Rook counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rook misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Miller tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rook counters with a nice body shot. Miller takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. A head kick by Miller misses and Rook counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rook is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control. Rook throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Rook missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Rook passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Miller takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rook looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Miller is avoiding damage well.
Rook creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Miller sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Rook throwing shots but missing, from side control. Miller tries to buck Rook off but Rook is having none of it. Miller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. An elbow from Rook crashes against the mat.
Rook is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Miller knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rook connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Miller some visible discomfort.
And that's the end of the fight! Bowman Rook showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rook, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
