The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by CocoMo.
It looks like Leon Hoffman has been cut.
Hoffman misses with a takedown attempt
and CocoMo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hoffman is staying active underneath CocoMo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hoffman tries to roll over but CocoMo keeps him under control.
CocoMo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Hoffman controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
CocoMo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joe CocoMo wasn't active enough on the ground.
Hoffman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. CocoMo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hoffman is in CocoMo's guard.
Hoffman is looking to work some ground and pound but CocoMo has wrist control.
Hoffman works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hoffman prevents CocoMo from improving his position.
CocoMo won't allow Hoffman to pass to mount.
Hoffman throwing shots but CocoMo is blocking nicely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Still in half guard, Hoffman seems content to control.

Hoffman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hoffman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hoffman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can CocoMo defend it? Hoffman steps over the head and cranks it - CocoMo is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hoffman!
