The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson keeps Carwin at a distance using the push kick.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Quinton Jackson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Carwin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Carwin misses with a wild body shot.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Carwin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jackson - the referee stops the clock and Carwin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jackson. Carwin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Carwin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson lands a nice looking kick to the body. Carwin takes a step back to recover.
Jackson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jackson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Nice combo by Jackson! Oh, that's hurt him - Carwin falls to the canvas and Jackson follows him into side control.
Jackson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Carwin!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Carwin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jackson wants to control the pace but Carwin is squirming around nicely.

Carwin is looking to get to half guard.
Carwin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Carwin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jackson feints a jab promting Carwin to slip. Jackson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carwin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Carwin has Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.

Carwin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jackson dodges the punch combination from Carwin.
Nice jab there from Carwin.
Jackson thumps Carwin with a low kick.
Carwin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jackson lands with a slapping head kick.
Jackson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Carwin's sensitive parts.
Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jackson scores with a spinning back kick!
Jackson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Carwin doesn't seem bothered though.
A punch lands to the side of Carwin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jackson drops Carwin with a naaaaasty hook - Carwin is in real trouble here! Jackson dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
