Willams has chosen I stand alone as his entrance music. Myles Willams is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atkinson takes the fight into the clinch. Willams looking to throw knees to the head but Atkinson is blocking nicely.
Willams wants to stall.
Atkinson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Willams is defending well for now. Willams blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Willams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Willams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Atkinson pushes Willams up against the cage in a clinch. Atkinson tries to throw a body punch but Willams avoids it by throwing Atkinson back against the cage. Willams gets control of Atkinson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Willams will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Willams wants to hit a switch here but Atkinson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Willams there! Willams tries to reverse the position but Atkinson maintains control. Willams is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Willams is looking to get to half guard.

Willams tries to lock up and control but Atkinson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Willams is trying to escape the mount.

Willams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Atkinson stands up from half guard. Willams moves to clinch but Atkinson breaks away and Atkinson counters with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Willams wants to clinch and Atkinson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Willams is lucky that one didn't land flush. Willams fails in his attempt to clinch. Willams shoots in but Atkinson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Willams shoots in but Atkinson avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Willams doesn't succeed with the takedown and Atkinson counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Atkinson scores with a crisp jab that stopped Willams in his tracks. Horrible takedown by Willams or perhaps it was just good defense by Atkinson which made him look bad. Willams tries for a takedown but Atkinson circles away easily and Atkinson counters with a lovely straight right hand!

More strikes from Atkinson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Willams lies dazed against the cage as Atkinson celebrates with his cornermen!
