The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alberto Jr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Rose counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Alberto Jr throws a nice looking combination but Rose bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Rose displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alberto Jr throws out the jab.
Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alberto Jr moves away.
Rose takes the fight into the clinch.
Alberto Jr lands with a left to the head.
Rose misses with an elbow over the top.
Alberto Jr misses with the head strike.
Rose blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Alberto Jr avoids a wild elbow strike from Rose.
Alberto Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Rose misses with a jab, cross combination.

Rose throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Alberto Jr tries to bum rush Rose with a series of wild strikes but Rose uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Alberto Jr takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rose ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alberto Jr moves away.
The fighters circling - Alberto Jr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Alberto Jr counters with a straight right hand.
Alberto Jr fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Alberto Jr misses with a wild body shot.
Alberto Jr on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Alberto Jr tests Rose's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Alberto Jr looks to land a combination but Rose avoids it well.

Alberto Jr takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Rose takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Alberto Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rose.
Alberto Jr dips to his left and cracks Rose with an uppercut!
Alberto Jr throws a right hand that Rose ducks under and follows up with a left that Rose also avoids with ease.
Alberto Jr gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rose.
Rose's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Alberto Jr connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rose scrambles back to his feet.
Alberto Jr looks to land a right hand but Rose moved out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Alberto Jr 's head but he takes it in his stride.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Alberto Jr throws a right and a left that both miss.
A combination from Alberto Jr does no damage.
Rose rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Alberto Jr counters with a nice uppercut.
Alberto Jr misses with a two punch combination.
Alberto Jr swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Alberto Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rose.
Alberto Jr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Alberto Jr goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rose is rocked!
Rose misses with a lunging right hand
and Alberto Jr comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Rose stumbles back against the ropes, looking to regain his senses but Alberto Jr is on him like rabid pit bull! Rose slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jose Alberto Jr!
