Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Baby Carrot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rodrigo Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Carrot, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Carrot against the cage but Carrot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carrot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Diaz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Carrot!

Carrot defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Diaz.

Carrot throws a lazy right hand but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Diaz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Carrot has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diaz is working away from the top position though.
Carrot on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carrot tries to get out of the position.

Diaz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carrot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Carrot cracks Diaz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Baby Carrot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Diaz.
Diaz shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Diaz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Carrot pulls his leg out and moves away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carrot fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Carrot clobbers Diaz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Carrot throws out a powerful jab.
Baby Carrot is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carrot throws the left hand but Diaz avoids the punch easily.
No joy there for Carrot, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carrot pinned against the cage. Carrot gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Carrot misses with a double jab.
Carrot misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Carrot is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Diaz looks to land a right hand but Carrot moved out of range.
Carrot throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Carrot gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carrot, as that shot connected.

Diaz working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rodrigo Diaz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Diaz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
