The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee drives through and clinches with Filho against the cage.

McGee works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

McGee stands up from Filho's guard - McGee perhaps looking for a knockout.
Filho moves to clinch but McGee breaks away

and McGee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

McGee's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

McGee decides to stand and escape the position.

Filho moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Filho tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and McGee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by McGee.
Filho knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGee on the ground.

McGee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
McGee works a leg free and moves into half guard.
McGee not landing any meaningful shots this time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
McGee missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
McGee is looking to advance position but Filho won't allow it.

Bobby McGee has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

and McGee makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Filho really felt that one!

Filho gets caught flat footed, as McGee shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McGee not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Let's hope that McGee has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Filho is working an open guard so McGee takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

McGee shoots in and bounces Filho off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
McGee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Filho really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGee is looking for a kimura but Filho is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McGee to get the leverage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McGee in particular looking to stall.

Filho scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but McGee manages to mount him!
