The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reaver closes the distance and clinches. Reaver looking to throw knees to the head but Noga is blocking nicely.
Noga tries for a takedown. No joy.
Noga pulls Reaver into guard.
Noga is trying to keep Reaver in close.
Reaver looking to pass the guard. Noga keeping moving, preventing Reaver from controlling successfully. Reaver must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Noga lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Reaver! Noga trying to control but Reaver is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reaver keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Noga manages to capitalize on a mistake by Reaver to take his back! Noga has the hooks in. Reaver is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Noga trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Noga biding his time, looking for the opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Reaver is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Noga is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Reaver taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Noga.
