Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colton Orr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Svern Ferrus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Colton Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Svern Ferrus!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferrus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ferrus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Orr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Orr managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ferrus.
Ferrus in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Ferrus throwing strikes but Orr manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Orr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferrus on the ground.
Ferrus tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Orr presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Ferrus is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferrus is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ferrus looks gassed!
Orr trying to control but Ferrus is having none of it.
Orr tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ferrus tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Orr wants to get back to his feet but Ferrus is holding on tight.
Ferrus manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Ferrus is trying to get back to full guard.
Orr tries to stand and escape but Ferrus is controlling the position.
Orr trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ferrus throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The fighters are battling for position here. Ferrus manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Ferrus looking for a guillotine here but Orr defends easily.
Ferrus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Orr is one step ahead there.

Ferrus is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Orr wants to get up but he can't break Ferrus's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ferrus is on top in guard.
Ferrus is working Orr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Ferrus thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ferrus prevents Orr from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Svern Ferrus dominated that round.

Orr wants to clinch.
Ferrus misses with a low kick.
Orr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ferrus showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Orr.

Ferrus misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Ferrus is breathing heavily.
Ferrus misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Orr is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ferrus throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ferrus throwing strikes but Orr uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Orr is trying to stand.
Ferrus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ferrus is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Orr is trying to stand up here but Ferrus is controlling him well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Orr doesn't manage to clinch there - Ferrus circles away.
Orr looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Ferrus shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Colton Orr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ferrus scores a takedown into full mount!

Ferrus is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Ferrus!
