Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trainius Reckus! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sebastian Granite! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Granite lands a head shot. Reckus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Reckus is looking to take a break and control but Granite is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Reckus is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Granite is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reckus throwing shots but missing, from side control. Reckus misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Reckus trying to control the action but Granite is working from the bottom. Granite is trying to control Reckus's posture but Reckus avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reckus wants to take a breather but Granite manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Reckus. Reckus pushes down on Granite's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reckus throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Reckus seems to be looking for submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Reckus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Reckus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Reckus is thwarting Granite's attempts to control the position. Granite won't allow Reckus to pass to mount. Reckus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Reckus is breathing heavily.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Granite throws a combination. Reckus tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Granite digs a good body shot into Reckus's ribs. Reckus takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Granite looks to land a combination. Reckus sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Reckus is rocked! Granite cracks Reckus with a hook to the temple - Reckus is on wobbly legs here! Granite swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Reckus falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Granite wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sebastian Granite! Sebastian Granite is the new middleweight champion!
