The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Animal throws a body kick the misses
letting Nepphur counter with a right hand.
It looks like Carlos The Animal has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nepphur slips a jab and a cross from The Animal.
Nepphur fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with The Animal, pushing him back against the cage.
The Animal wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nepphur is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Nepphur looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Nepphur pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The Animal throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nepphur counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
No joy there for The Animal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The Animal takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
The Animal looks gassed!
Nepphur has a takedown stuffed.
Carlos The Animal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The Animal tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nepphur counters with a nice right hand that sends The Animal toppling to the canvas! The Animal scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nepphur finish him?!
Nepphur closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops The Animal! Nepphur dives in looking to finish! The Animal is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Laht Nepphur!
