Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phliip Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phliip Sagat has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phliip Sagat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Garcia! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Sagat. No joy for Garcia on that attempt. Sagat has Garcia up against the cage in a clinch.
Sagat lands a right hand that snaps the head of Garcia backwards. Sagat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garcia shoots in and drives through. Sagat sprawls well. Sagat moves into range and clinches up with Garcia. Sagat stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Sagat utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Sagat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Garcia misses with a takedown attempt and Sagat counters with a left and a right that hurts Garcia! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Sagat jumps into full mount! Phliip Sagat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Garcia. Garcia looks gassed! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sagat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Garcia is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sagat throwing strikes here but Garcia is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Sagat trying to control but Garcia is having none of it. Sagat is really struggling to control Garcia but he's trying to hold on to the position. Garcia tries to hold on but Sagat pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sagat tries to control but Garcia wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia just holding on. Let's hope that Garcia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sagat trying to control but Garcia is having none of it. Sagat will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sagat looking to ground and pound but Garcia is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia tries to lock up and control but Sagat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Garcia manages to regain half guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Garcia manages to get to full guard.
Sagat trying to control but Garcia is working from the bottom. Garcia is pulling down on Sagat's head. It's preventing any offense from Sagat, at least for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Sagat lands a knee to the head.
Garcia tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sagat smiles and moves away.
Garcia throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sagat counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. A head kick misses from Sagat. Garcia takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Pedro Garcia has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Garcia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sagat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Garcia somewhat. Sagat has Garcia up against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phliip Sagat dominated that round. The cut man is working on Pedro Garcia's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Garcia misses with a takedown attempt - Sagat sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Garcia tries to clinch but fails miserably and Sagat moves into the clinch. Garcia tries to pull guard but Sagat holds him up against the cage and eventually Garcia drops back down to his feet.
Sagat lands with a short shot to the head. Sagat is pressed up against the cage. Garcia has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sagat down to the mat. Sagat avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Phliip Sagat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Garcia. Garcia gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
