Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randsome Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Drysdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drysdale has chosen Jadakiss - The Champ Is Here as his entrance music. Randsome Gracie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Drysdale!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Drysdale to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gracie looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drysdale is one step ahead there.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Drysdale from controlling successfully.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Drysdale is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Drysdale is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gracie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gracie has escaped and now he's on top!

Drysdale working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Drysdale looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.
Gracie is looking to advance position but Drysdale has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie is looking to improve his position but Drysdale isn't that keen on the idea.

Drysdale goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gracie turns into him and now he's in Drysdale's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Drysdale keeps moving.

Drysdale throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gracie escapes and throws Drysdale's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Drysdale is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gracie's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Drysdale swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gracie is now in Drysdale's guard. A big mistake from Drysdale there, giving up the dominant position!

Drysdale throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gracie uses it to pass to side control.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Drysdale knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Drysdale is not content to let Gracie control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Drysdale can't do much from the bottom here.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drysdale keeps working.

Drysdale is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
Drysdale manages to get back to half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Drysdale is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Randsome Gracie will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Drysdale feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie chips away with some ground and pound.

Drysdale goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Gracie has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Drysdale but great work by Gracie.
