Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Perfect Mma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexbenju Benz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perfect Mma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dexbenju Benz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mma tries to land a leg kick but Benz saw it coming and moves away.
Mma looks to throw a body kick
and Benz counters with a nice uppercut.
Mma clinches up against the cage.
Mma has clasped his hands together around Benz's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Benz struggling a bit here.
Mma prevents Benz from escaping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Benz wants to control but Mma postures up.
Benz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Benz trying to control from the bottom.
Mma is trying to control. Benz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Benz makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Benz.

Mma is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Benz trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Mma stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Benz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mma wants to pass the guard but Benz is keeping the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Perfect Mma just wasn't active enough.
Benz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mma throws a leg kick but Benz checks it.
Mma closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Benz is trying to maintain the position but Mma is very close to passing his half guard.
Mma tries to stand but can't do so whilst Benz controls his leg.
Mma is thwarting Benz's attempts to control the position.
Benz kicks off Mma and gets to his feet.
Mma is breathing heavily.

Benz misses with a body punch
and Mma counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Benz's guard now.
Benz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mma gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Benz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Mma postures up.
Benz has control of Mma's left arm, preventing Mma from doing any damage.
Mma has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Benz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mma wants to control from the top but Benz keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mma rushes Benz and presses him up against the cage.
Benz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mma has him pressed against the cage.

Benz breaks the clinch.
Benz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mma quickly recovers to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mma trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Benz manages to pass to mount!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Benz controlling the pace for now.
Benz with shots to the head and body - Mma looks very uncomfortable down there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Perfect Mma will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Some wild striking there from Benz.
Mma moves into range and clinches up with Benz.
Mma successfully pulls guard.
Benz passes Mma's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Benz stands up out of the half guard.
Mma avoids the head kick by Benz.
Benz closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Benz lands in his opponent's guard.
Mma on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mma tries to get out of the position.
Benz works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Benz trying to control the action but Mma is working from the bottom.

Benz lands with a punch from half guard.
Benz not doing much here.
Mma is staying active underneath Benz, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dexbenju Benz was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Benz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Benz throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Benz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mma's guard.
Benz's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Mma is adopting a defensive guard.
Benz thows a big elbow that misses.
Benz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Benz stands up.
Benz shoots in and bounces Mma off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mma wants to stand but Benz is controlling the position.
Benz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Benz pushes down on Mma's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Benz prevents Mma from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Benz winds up and cracks Mma with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Benz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Mma could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Benz has cracked it and Mma is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Benz!
