Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Pederson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pederson comes to the cage accompanied by Avenged Sevenfold - Natural Born Killer. Hugo Chavez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nick Pederson's chin.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pederson checks a low kick from Chavez.
Pederson has his takedown stuffed
and Chavez counters with a head kick. That will keep Pederson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Pederson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Chavez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pederson misses with a takedown attempt - Chavez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Pederson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pederson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pederson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Chavez is working to get back to half guard.
Pederson avoids the attempt from Chavez to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chavez is looking to improve his position but Pederson isn't that keen on the idea.

Pederson prevents Chavez from getting the reversal.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chavez wants to hold on but Pederson pushes him away.

Pederson decides to return to a standing position.

Chavez throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Pederson shoots in and bounces Chavez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chavez looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chavez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pederson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Pederson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pederson is breathing heavily.
Pederson stops Chavez from getting back to his feet.
Chavez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Chavez has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pederson escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pederson!

Chavez tries to escape but Pederson is in control.
You can see the frustration on Chavez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Chavez throws a leg kick but Pederson sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Chavez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Chavez is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Pederson rolls with it to try and escape but Chavez cranks on the arm and Pederson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
