Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robert Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artur Ozimek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Ramirez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Artur Ozimek! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ozimek shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ramirez is trying to defend but Ozimek finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ozimek wants to get back to his feet.
Ozimek is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ozimek wants to control but Ramirez is keeping him busy. Ramirez is trying to stand up here but Ozimek is controlling him well. Ramirez trying to control from the bottom.
Ramirez moves into full guard.
Ramirez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ozimek is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ramirez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ozimek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Ramirez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ozimek throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ramirez works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ozimek works a leg free and moves into half guard. Ozimek throwing shots but Ramirez is blocking nicely. Ozimek is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ozimek looks gassed! Ozimek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ramirez keeps working. Ozimek looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ramirez gets full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ozimek stands up and waves to Ramirez to follow him. Ozimek darts in trying to clinch letting Ramirez counter with a right hand. Ramirez throws a sloppy head kick and Ozimek moves out of range easily. Ozimek slaps away a takedown attempt from Ramirez, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ramirez misses with a head kick.
Ozimek on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ramirez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ramirez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ozimek avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Ramirez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ozimek connects with a single shot there. Ramirez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ozimek's waist but Ozimek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramirez off to one side. Ozimek shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ozimek misses with a combination
and Ramirez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ramirez fails in his attempt to clinch. Ramirez shoots in but no luck this time. Ramirez jabs Ozimek right on the nose. Ozimek blinks but takes it well. Ozimek walks into a straight right hand from Ramirez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Artur Ozimek will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ozimek throws a big shot that misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ozimek. Ozimek misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Ramirez is trying to get back to his feet. Ramirez can't do much from the bottom here. Ramirez is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ozimek off and has taken his back! Ozimek has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Ramirez. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ramirez's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ozimek wants to get back to his feet. Ramirez throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Ozimek is keeping busy.
Ozimek is trying to defend against the choke here but Ramirez has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Ramirez Tightens the hold and Ozimek taps out furiously! Ramirez displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Robert Ramirez!
