The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gusarov moves to clinch but Franklin breaks away
and Franklin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gusarov darts in trying to clinch
and Gusarov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Franklin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Gusarov pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Franklin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Franklin dips a shoulder and cracks Gusarov with a mighty uppercut! Gusarov falls back against the cage and Franklin unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gusarov is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Franklin screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
