Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sepp Maier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maier's entrance music is Apaga mas não bate. A fine choice. Dixon has chosen The Clash - I Fought The Law as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Sepp Maier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Dixon! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon fails with a takedown attempt. Dixon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A lazy left from Dixon finds it's target. Maier has a takedown stuffed. Maier tries to close the distance and clinch but Dixon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Maier tries to clinch but Dixon is having none of it. Maier closes the distance and clinches up with Dixon, looking for a takedown. Maier pushes Dixon against the cage but Dixon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. No luck with that takedown attempt from Dixon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dixon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dixon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dixon stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Maier checks a low kick from Dixon. Maier shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Maier showed some decent athleticism there. Dixon is in trouble now - Maier has advanced to mount! Dixon wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maier with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dixon tries to lock up and control but Maier gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maier fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Maier sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Maier misses with a head shot. Dixon takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dixon tries to lock up and control but Maier gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Dixon holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Maier tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Maier is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dixon is surviving well by controlling Maier's body position as best he can. Dixon squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Maier is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dixon defends it well. Dixon wants to get back to his feet.
Dixon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Maier looking to pass the guard. Dixon can't keep his opponent in guard - Maier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Dixon has hold of Maier's hands but Maier slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maier wants to work for an arm triangle but Dixon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Maier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Maier avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dixon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Dixon lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Peter Dixon really dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dixon stopping the sweep attempt from Maier. Maier lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dixon! Maier has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dixon's face.

Dixon is desperately trying to improve his position but Maier has a good base and remains in mount. Dixon is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Maier has hold of Dixon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dixon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sepp Maier. I think Dixon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
