Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jim Trueman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Olgierd Jarosz! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jarosz shoots in but Trueman avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jarosz moves in looking to clinch but Trueman pushes him off. Jarosz throws a hook to the side of Trueman's head but Trueman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Jarosz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Trueman. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jarosz misses with a takedown and Trueman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jarosz slips a jab and a cross from Trueman.
Jarosz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Trueman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jarosz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Trueman working for a triangle but Jarosz defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jarosz thows a big elbow that misses. Trueman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jarosz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. This has been an exciting period of action! Jarosz avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Trueman is on top in guard.
Trueman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jarosz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Trueman drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Trueman seems to have locked his on tight now - Jarosz screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Trueman, as he picks up the win!
