Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustaw Jelen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquin Marins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marins is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Freak Kitchen - Speak when spoken to. Gustaw Jelen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustaw Jelen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joaquin Marins! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jelen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Marins counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marins. Jelen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Marins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Jelen is controlling Marins's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jelen can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marins controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joaquin Marins. Jelen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Marins to score with a decent uppercut. Marins gets a double leg takedown into Jelen's guard. Marins slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Marins wants to pass the guard but Jelen is keeping the position. Marins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Marins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Marins not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jelen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Marins's guard. Marins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jelen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Marins keeping moving, preventing Jelen from controlling successfully. Jelen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jelen won't allow Marins to sweep him here. Marins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jelen is breathing heavily. Jelen wants to control from the top but Marins keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gustaw Jelen. Marins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jelen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marins controls the position. Marins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Marins cracks Jelen with an elbow. That is naaassty. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joaquin Marins dominated that round. That's time! Jelen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Marins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Marins trying to control the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Marins wants to pass the guard but Jelen is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marins slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joaquin Marins wasn't active enough on the ground. Jelen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Marins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Marins sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marins decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Marins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marins with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jelen is defending against the submission attempts here by Marins.
Marins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Marins is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joaquin Marins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Marins. Jelen is letting Marins control him for a moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Marins tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The referee asks Marins politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marins prefers to stall for the moment though. Marins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marins in side control, just content to control the action for now. Jelen taking a bit of punishment here - Marins scoring with strikes. Marins taking a breather here. Marins is trying to get an arm triangle but Jelen is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marins content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Joaquin Marins is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Joaquin Marins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Marins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
